I know that July ends on the 31st, but I would like to initiate a conversation on how version 9 development is going. Based on the sneak preview we have seen around, we are very exited to get it on our hands ASAP.

Any comment from Rohit and/or Peter will be greatly appreciated...!!!

    Cheers,

Don't remember where I read or heard it, I believe it was on a random video from NAB, that the build they had there was an alpha or probably a beta. Things take time. They just made it 64-bit, and need to make sure everything is working as intended.

I don't think BMD want the whole world to feel they're paying for a license to be beta testers with clients in the room. That would be a terrifying experience. Imagine a function you use a lot in Resolve 8, might not even work at all in Resolve 9 beta. You scratch your head and say "it used to work.." while the client lose confidence in you.

    All good things in time.

If I remember anything from NAB... ;) I thought it was public beta in July? And July lasts all month.

    Guys,

Rest assured, the Resolve 9 beta is coming along very nicely indeed ... runs on a MacPro Tower very smoothly - 64 bit architecture makes a real difference to performance and the new GUI is totally sweet ... and on the new Retina Display MacBook Pro? I hear you ask ... like sex on a stick!!! .... have no fear, Peter and Rohit have not been sleeping since NAB ... all is in good hands.

More will be revealed next week ... stay tuned my friends :-)

    Cheers,
    Neil

Geez, Neil, I don't mean to sound like Big Brother here, but do the initials "NDA" mean nothing to you anymore?

Are you saying it runs native on a Mac Pro without a specific video card configuration?

Audio support and dalies workflow can't get here soon enough for me. I know I'm not alone in the experience of banging away on a keyboard shortcut over and over only to realize that the shortcut you're hammering on does do the function you want...just in another application. Being able to focus more on one application is really something to look forward to.
