I don't think there is a solution for you. Being that you are not a resident of the US, it would be difficult to initiate any legal proceedings. The only thing that can be done - and I'm not telling any of you to do this unless you clearly feel it is the best option for you and your needs as it isn't a win-win solution by any means nor will it give much back to any of you - is for those in the US to come together in a legal case, get the business and personal assets seized and liquidated, and some people may get some compensation for it. From what I've dug up in the past few days, some seriously bad things happened with the business dealings he made, he hasn't made a recovery, and a lot of people are owed large amounts of money and product as the case may be. I can't speak for the guy but it looks like he's focusing on shooting stuff and post-production laboring with his other businesses to make ends meet but he hasn't given any clear response to queries about what he's going to do to fix this situation or the status of his system business which does not seem to be doing anything at all. Since I have had no dealings with him, I'll be optimistic and say that he may be amassing a pile of cash to pay off those who gave him money for orders that were not filled as opposed to the alternative action of ignoring it all for the time being, which I am sure none of you want to mull over.

I find it alarming that some of you have waited more than 2 years to take action. (Granted you've probably taken action before then, but damn).

If I don't see product within 2 months I would be more than concerned. I'd file disputes immediately with my banks and crawl for answers 24/7.

Never wait forever after you pay someone. NEVER.

We just pushed $15,000 back to a client. I am doing what I can to get this back to people as fast as I can.

Personal attacks don't help and I've received plenty. I'm doing what I can.

that's good to hear torrey, but a bit of advice for someone in your situation; you can never have too much communication. you have to accept that personal attacks are perfectly understandable for what you did, and the only way to save face until you make it right is to keep talking to those you've wronged and keep them up to date on what you're doing to resolve your issues.

It's hilarious that you can take so many people's money and then say its so rude when people attack you! If it were 40 years ago, you would have been lynched and the judge would have taken it easy on the people who did it.

Torrey, here's a simple question: where did all the money go that your "clients" gave you? Were you using new money to pay off old money, like a ponzi scheme? Or did you just spend it elsewhere...

Pretty sad that people trusted you with hard earned money, and now they are in the dark..

This is why I never trade online big sums of money. I have to say the only time I did an above 25K transaction with an abroad company was with Red and it has been a very good experience, but I would never look into giving this sort of money to a small scale company located abroad. The only places i place orders online are B&H, sometimes amazon and of course Red.com. There's never too safe when ordering online, and when you do, you should do it with the most established companies. Sometimes a bit more expensive, yes, but the peace of mind is worth it. I wouldn't know what I would do if i had just ordered 25K worth of equipment and would not get it or the refund for more than 2 years!! Very scary stuff!!
