I need help with Universal Mastering of Avid Symphony Nitris.

I have a 1080 24P project with one sequence that has one MXF DNxHD 185 one stereo wav imported and subtitles.

Can I lay to tape at 25P as the manual suggests?

What kind of conversion will be made to the sound, just speed or also peach correction?

Will the subtitles will shift correctly?

If so please advise on the steps to achieve that, I have tried following the manual with no success.

Except of the steps there is the Reference issue what should I feed the Avid and what should be fed to the deck? 24 to the Avid and 25 to the deck? both 25?

    Thanks.

The Universal Mastering is playback of the timeline either faster or slower to the target desired frame rate; for 23.976 it will be .1% slower and for 25 it will be 4.1% faster. Basically a frame for frame playback at the new rate. Because of this, audio needs to be adjusted to be in sync. The only adjustment is to audio is the sample rate (by either .1% or 4.1%) so that playback at the target rate is still 48khz. There is no pitch correction happening at that time in this process unless such as effect was applied to it beforehand. 24 to 25 is .7 of semitone. Subtitle should go along for the ride and be in sync. Reference should be 25 to both since that is the rate all playback will be locked to during digital cut.
