Do you think RED might be developing any further variations to REDcode RAW? For example an intermediate format for use when editing/FX, or a finishing/delivery format?

There has been talk about a RED RGB-codec for some time, not much details are known. This will be a delivery-format, the codec thats used for REDRAY. But maybe there will be options to record natively to this codec, a DSMC-module is thinkable... I'm also pretty sure that REDRAW is a ongoing process and we will see updates from time to time. The mentioned better/different compression for HDRx-footage comes in mind, that might be the next big update to the codec.

I don't think RED has to do a intermediate format, instead they should continue to make working with REDRAW faster and maybe a cheaper version of the rocket. ;)

Interesting stuff - I was wondering whether the big silence over the Proxy Module was down to using file formats from other companies (i.e. H264) so I thought they might have begun to explore their own format.
