    Hello!

...could anyone explain the workflow how to get my edit from FCP 7 with Atomos Samurai Proxies back to Redcine X?

    Many thanks for your help!

Good question. I'd like to hear about it too. The Samurai carries the camera timecode on in the prores files so maybe export an EDL from your timeline into REDCine X and see what happens. Just make sure all your source media are present somewhere that REDCine X can see it and muck around with the EDL export settings from FCP and also with Redcine X import settings. Good luck

Does Samurai files now carry the same tags as R3D camera files ? If it does it should be pretty simple.

Hmm, why shouldn't it work with Samurai? It works for me with KiPro Mini, and that doesn't even have an offset compensation, so I do need to compensate in post.

My Red is called Vertov after a Russian avantgarde filmmaker, a pioneer in modern cinematography, a true revolutionary who later suffered under Stalin's bureaucracy.
