I am trying to switch from Mac to PC, I have 3nos Quadro 4000 for Mac, which I would hate parting with.

Is it possible to use them on a PC, if yes, then can they work in conjunction with Tesla C2075???

Basically I will be using the Cyclone 2707 GPU Extender, this is how the Supermicro X9DAi will be set

    PCIE3 x08 - Lane 01 - Qlogic Dual Channel HBA 8gbps
    PCIE3 x16 - Lane 02 - Quadro 4000 for Mac
    PCIE3 x08 - Lane 03 - BMD Decklink
    PCIE3 x16 - Lane 04 - Tesla C2075C
    PCIE3 x04 - Lane 04 - RED Rocket
    PCIE3 x16 - Lane 06 - Cyclone 2707 GPU Extender
    PCIE2 x16 - Lane 01 - Quadro 4000 for Mac
    PCIE2 x16 - Lane 02 - Quadro 4000 for Mac
    PCIE2 x16 - Lane 03 - Empty
    PCIE2 x08 - Lane 04 - Empty
    PCIE2 x08 - Lane 05 - Empty

First of all do you guys think if the GPU Extender would work with Windows 7 and Quadro 4000 for Mac on it.

Guys with experience in computer hardware:

    I need to:
    Edit in Premiere
    Edit in Avid
Use After Effects for compositing etc.
    Grade in Davinci Windows
    Nuke

    Insight required.

I don't know for certain that it is impossible, but Customer Service informs me that the Mac and PC cards are completely different beasts and employ different technologies.

Yes but it is physically plugged into Mac hardware. I'm fairly certain that you can't insert the Mac card into a wintel pc board. I guess I'll be interested to hear what others say about that. Good luck.

    They are different models.

    Quadro 4000M (MAC)
    Quadro 4000 (PC)

I'm gussing you have the M version. Will it work in a PC? Doubt it.....that's one for Jeff!

I was about to try one of the two we have ready but got caught up with other fires. My only fear is what kind of harm it will cause if I did try a Mac version in a PC.
