This is as you know .... reduser.net .... so you might not find many knowledgeable F65 users here. Is there a forum were a discussion like this could get more responses? Is there a forum to discuss all the various PRO Systems?
Maybe you could read this ...
    http://www.bandpro.com/images/storie...ion_Manual.pdf
    and this ....
    https://www.red.com/downloads
and all the other info on RED.COM and get back to us with your assessment.

To say that this is reduser and so therefore your should pretend no other cameras exist is not very helpful to the actual Red-using community.

When you want to suggest a camera to a producer/agency/director etc. you have to defend that choice. You can't just say "Coz it's da best - end of da story" like a retarded teenager.

I think a much more mature approach would be to admit that no camera is 100% ideal all the time. Although as some of you know I feel DSLRs are ideal 0% of the time - all other cameras have a place. We own an Epic, but sometimes we still take out the EX1 (advantage speed (grab from bag and shoot), rocker-based motorized zoom lens, superlative sound quality, sometimes desirable more ENG type look with very deep DOF) and we sometimes rent a C3000 (advantage extreme low light capabilities). We also still use our Red One Mx often (advantage long interviews and other super long stuff easy to record to hard drive with more cost effective compression, no heat/fan noise issues) Most of the time, the Epic is the best choice, but not all the time, and unless you compare you cannot make an intelligent case for choosing Epic. Educated people generally do not respond well to unexplained "It rocks" type statements, or non-specific statements without explanation like "Horses for courses" without any details given.

Epic is way better looking . . . like an assault rifle or weapon or something. People notice my camera in public which makes me feel good. Also, RED guys outfits are cooler - like all black with combat boots, tats, heavy silver jewelry and they drive tough cars with dark tint on the windows. REDuser is a place that makes me feel safe and where no one disagrees with me.

Sony guys . . . well, not there is anything wrong with that lifestyle.
