  1. #1 Kowa anamorphic Lens set
I have aquired several sets of Kowa anamorphic lenses. Each set is repainted, regreased and cleaned throughout then thoroughly allined and teseted. Each set takes approximately 2-3 weeks to get ready for shipping. Only after your order do i undertake this work.

Sets consist of a 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm. Focus gears are standard on all Kowa lenses I sell.

The photos shown here are a very close representation of what they will look like after their work is complete.

These look lovely, Darryl. Really spectacular work.

Out of curiosity, could anyone post a link to footage shot with Kowa Ana's like these, or at the very least comment on their characteristics/performance? My searching has yielded little results for anything other than the Kowa Anamorphic adapters.

Sorry if this request detracts in any way from your sale thread, Darryl. Will remove this if you prefer to keep the thread clean.

    Best,
    Clint

    Hey Darryl,

Good to hear your voice. Please answer my emails about my order status when able. Getting a bit nervous over here since I have not received any information after wiring you a large $um.

    Clint,
Kowa's are a lo contrast lens with really spectacular flares. (not your typical Terminator 2 Blue Panavision Flare). They are very similar to a Panavision C series, although I would say slightly softer and warmer when compared directly to C's. I have tested several sets here in Los Angeles and unfortunately yet to find a 40mm without terrible distortion, the squeeze on the 40mm is not perfectly accurate. Which is not terrible uncommon in anamorphic lenses, Panavision worked very hard to fix this issue on their lenses. As you pan across a face from the center of the frame to the edges you can see the subject become stretched vertically. The 40mm is fine for shooting subjects at distance but I wouldn't have anything in focus within say 6-8'. These are the smallest and lightest anamorphic lenses you will ever find, it would be hard to shoot a whole feature with them but for hand held and steadicam they can't be beat. Fast aperature, good CF.

If you are looking for an example of their look, you can check out this spot. http://vimeo.com/38402232

    Hope this info helps.
