The truth is, no matter which FF, you'll find people who like it, and some who don't.

And when we buy something, we tend to have a confirmation bias, to protect our own egos.

There are a lot of threads on FF, many on the Epic forum and on the Accessories forums.

You have to spend a whole lot of time reading to be able to read between the lines and perceive quality differences.

Best if you can hold some of them in your hands and see how they actually work and feel.

I love the Ofocus. I had the arri mff1 and sold it to get the oconnor. I do miss the utter simplicity of the arri though.

I have the FocusPlus (a bit of overkill) but, if it would meet your needs, I would seriously consider the FocusOne. They make really solid, well-designed stuff at Edelkrone and for $199, the FocusOne is pretty unbelievable. I have found their design, allowing you to see the focus ring from all angles, to be incredibly helpful. Only bummer is that they are backordered.

I'm using the Tilta FF, probably the best DSLR lens FF I've ever used. Cheap too, only thing is availability as their new.

Because you can use it with real cinema glass too, and the quality is top notch.

As some users have said here, the microFollowFocus | blue is a great unit for not only DSLR lenses, but also cinema lenses. I've used it on the hole range of CP.2's as well as Canon's 30-600mm cinema zoom, which has a really thick pull, so this follow focus will grow with you and your gear. The adjustable hard stops are especially great for creating physical stops on your L Series lenses, so that you can't spin past infinity and your marks stay true.

With backlash adjust and a lifetime warranty, the follow focus will treat you right for years to come.

Mechanical FF for AF lenses is a nuisance. The only way to control focus properly is drive by wire
