Looking at an on set monitor. Something for use as a client/director monitor or for wireless FF assist.

    Looking at these:

    Panasonic - BT-L2150PJ - 21.5" LCD production monitor (LED BACKLIT) - ($1,500.00)
    http://www.panasonic.com/business/pr...y=studio-field

    JVC - 21-INCH MULTI-FORMAT LCD MONITOR (LED BACKLIT) - DT-E21L4U - ($2,400.00)
    http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/f...l_id=MDL102152

    JVC - 17-INCH MULTI-FORMAT LCD MONITOR (LED BACKLIT) DT-E17L4G - ($2,100.00)
    http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/f...l_id=MDL102149

Panasonic looks nice. All are LED backlit and I've always like Panny gear. Though the JVCs state they are 10bit, doesn't say what the Panny is.
Price is right for the Panny, would love to stay under 2k.

    Also looking at the Flanders...

    http://www.flandersscientific.com/index/pg91217 ($3,000)

    24" JVC Looks ok too.

    http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/f...l_id=MDL102112 ($2,400.00)

Any thoughts? If I go with a larger display it would double as a monitor for editing.

I've considered the Smartview, but the quality isn't there if I wanted to put it in an edit bay.

I just got this one http://www.shopfsi.com/FSI-10bit-17-...-p/cm-170w.htm

If you really want an on set monitor and the ability to do a true color correction, this is an amazing monitor with FSIs color fidelity engine, and something like 1.07billion colors! I consider it an investment that if rented 20x is paid for.. Or get the 24" with the color fidelity engine. ($5gs)

OLED is better technology. Very good image outdoors. You can run this one off your bricks with an inexpensive V-mount to 4 pin converter.

Nice monitor, but heavy and still not up to par color wise with FSI

    Yeah me too.

Pretty much narrowing it down to these...

    http://www.flandersscientific.com/index/pg91217 ($3,000)

    http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/f...l_id=MDL102112 ($2,400)

Not looking for a grading monitor, just for editing and taking on set for live view and playback.
