    Hey Jarred,

Great work on the hardware. Looking forward to seeing it in action. But from your earlier statements about Apple and the pro market, are you no longer developing for the Apple based ecosystem? Specifically, are there efforts for Drivers for FCPX still or is that a market that RED is not getting into?

We will support Apple as long as they are willing.. remember in the Apple world Apple calls 100% of the shots on what works in FCPX.. we have no control over that.

Any word on the real world measured performance in CS6? ie. How do 5k R3D's play, and at what settings? How will it stand up to upcoming 6k material? I'm itching for the day that I can buy a straightforward computer like this that will cut full res R3D without any ifs and buts... just like any old computer will currently cut compressed HD in prores or dnxhd.

heh heh heh don't worry.. We are working very close with HP and Adobe to make sure the 6K Dragon is not muzzled when it arrives..

The problem is how can Apple call the shots and say they will implement native r3d without talking and working with the guys that invented it and are making the cameras that use it? This is what troubles me about Final Cut and why I switched to Adobe... However, I haven't switched hardware yet because it just works as amazing as when I bought into the mac platform 10 years ago. This HP workstation is the first really good reason for a switch... But that statement from Cook about the 2013 Macpro makes me wait for their hand before further switching...
