    Hy
i had a question i filmed some FMX bike in slowmotion and even in the bright light there is noise in the image, i was wondering if it can come from the redcode, is there a special redcode to use or not use when you shoot 300ips in 2K.?
    thanks for your answer.

I believe this comes from that the sensor is cropped when you shoot 2K, i.e. noise becomes more visible. Compare cropping a 5K shot to 2K with your 300fps shot. Also, are you pushing the ISO more because of a higher shutter speed and you therefore need more exposure? There is no special REDCode option for this.

I am gonna go out and try some more shots in 300 fps 2K and 400 fps 1K next week and see what I experience.

I think the Epic uses a different compression algorithm at very high speeds. at least, that very much looks to be the case.

it's the crop + also the compression you're forced to use when shooting higher framerates... for my self - i try to avoid 2k 300fps if possible and go with the 5k 120fps (for sports - i do a lot of snowboarding, skateboarding and bmx stuff - this is usually enough)...

i hope dragon will fix the issues with 2k (and sometimes 5k scaled/croped to 100%)
