I think there is even a faster way to do this now over T-bolt...since the Lacie device is only 3gb/s box...i chose NOT to get it and instead went with Sonnet's little T-bolt breakout box with express 34 card and 2 esata connections....these are both sonnet hardware and their new version 2 allows up to 6gb/s. I've not tried it, but it arrives next week at which time i'll try it...
Unfortunately the Sonnet adapter only has one Thunderbolt port - so no daisy chaining. Which for me is a no-go as my monitor has to be last on the chain.

I was not impressed with the Sonnet Echo Express. I see much faster speeds from the Lacie hub.

    Chris,

I am using your second set up but it takes almost twice as long with check summing? I am sure moving to your first set up will help. I quite like the
hub. I am hoping that Red would add thunderbolt to the Red Station soon.

I am having and interesting situation with my Lacie Hub. Hope someone can help. I have a Sonnet D400 Raid enclosure with 4 drives in it. I do not have them setup as a raid though. I have them partitioned as 4 individual dives (long story...) I want to leave them as 4 individual drives. When I plug the Sonnet raid into he Lacie Hub and into my new MacBook Pro Retna the computer only sees drive #2. None of the other drives will show.

    Any advise?

Combine this with the new Macbook Pro with two thunderbolt hubs, and 2 USB 3.0 and life will get a lot faster. For a guy like me that downloads cards in the field, it is a life saviour.

    Johnny,

Where is this Sonnet thunderbolt breakout box that you mentioned? Are you talking about the Echo Pro?

    Thanks,
