Pretty sure Mr. Kilgroe has one.

    Or two. Maybe three.

I do have one Z820 and also a similar system I assembled myself. CS6 screams on the Z820. Most of my thoughts/opinions on the system are scattered over various threads. But if there's something you would like to know, I can elaborate. The build quality is rather good. A few curious design decisions were made that have me scratching my head, but overall I'm pleased with the system.

It runs great with the Quadro 6000 card. However, I'm actually running a GTX690 as it performs about the same to even a bit better in Premiere and since it's really two GPUs, it provides greater acceleration for After Effects and Resolve.

Does Resolve see each GPU as separate and use one for the GUI and the other for acceleration?

Hi, sorry I didn't reply earlier I just installed CS6 today and had about about an hour to play with it before I had to head out. I have the 16 core 3.1Ghz Z820 with 64GB ram and a Quadro 4000 with the Tesla C2075. In the hour I had today I loaded a few Epic 5k FF shots in Premiere. Scrubbed through like DV at 1/2 res, amazingly responsive. I have been on the mac platform for years but my work machine was up for renewal and I couldn't justify spending that much money on old tech. Despite everyone's dire warnings to the contrary the world didn't end when I switched on a windows machine. Taking a while to get used to it but seems fine and stable enough in the week or so I have had it. No crashes in any of the software I have, C4D, Nuke, Avid MC6. The HP Advisor is a handy program gives a complete breakdown of all the components and the drivers available, what software they are certified for and a simple download button next to the one you want to install. Like the software update on steroids from the mac.
Ran a couple clips through media encoder as well. Hands down walks all over compressor. Love the presets available but the speed is wicked.
Had a couple glitches with one of my monitors not starting up as I switch the machine on but I think it might be to do with the display port cables that came with the monitors (27" Dells). I intend to keep it off the net other than to update it as I have an iMac for that.
Overall very satisfied but am about to launch into a couple major projects on a new machine with an unfamiliar OS and a new NLE (goodbye FCP). Fun times :-)

Is it possible to get the GTX690 to run on a Mac?
