I've seen a few related threads with no real answers. Has anyone here had success with the SmallHD HDMI Splitter running from DSMC, particularly Scarlet? The splitter works splendidly for other cameras and I'm wondering if there is a signal difference in the HDMI put out by DSMC that prevents this from working. I've tried adding the suggested 5v power to the splitter, but to no avail. I've contacted SmallHD concerning the matter and they are sending a replacement unit to find out if it's a unit problem, but I've seen a handful of other people complain about the same thing upon searching. SmallHD says they are aware of clients who have Scarlets who are using it just fine. So I suppose my real question is... If it's working for you, did you have trouble at first? What firmware are you running, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris,

I have a smallHD EVF. I just tested out the built in loop through HDMI and it worked perfectly. I just got my SmallHD a few days ago and didn't think to test this option out till I saw your post. I was going to attach an image of both monitors working ( smallHD and a lilliput) but I'm not sure how to attach an image.

It's a bummer that yours isn't working properly. I will say I'm not using any special HDMI cable, just an extra one I have laying around. Email and I'll share the photo of them both working together.

I have the same problem.. The splitter needs power. Try powering the splitter with a D-tap to USB Or use what I use..
