Working on a project, and all of a sudden RMD's are notr generated. (RCXP 14)

The grades are saved (somewhere) but not in the r3d folders.

But then no other app can read them.

    Wassup?

OK, so force manual save RMDs seemed to work, but why didn't it not just save them as it should have?

The past few versions of RCX have been saving my RMDs to a single location, rather than within each clip folder like they used to. It hasn't been an issue for our workflow yet since we rarely link back to the RMDs in other programs. But I am confused as to why I can't save the RMDs to the clip folders and instead have to pool them all together in one location.

Yes. That is a bad choice.

    But I have more issues...

I'll have to update my RAW workflow thread... :)

    Nick,
Have you setup a master RMD directory?? If so then that's why all your RMD's are saved to a single location. If you want then saved within each clip folder you'll have to disable that feature in the preferences window.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift; that's why it is called the present.

Thanks. Wish the preferences pane was a bit clearer on that. To me, the preference pane indicates "You can either save your RMDs to this master location, or NOT AT ALL."

Mine weren't in a master directory, BTW, they were just not there untill I manually chose to make them.

The bigger issue is that resolve used the first for the full edit...
    THAT was a bad choice.

Have contacted BMD about that. And it happened once before, but then I thought it was all my fault. THis time I know it sn't...

    Gunleik,

Can you back up your preferences file (/Users/{user name}/Library/Application\ Support/red/RedCineX/Preferences/Preferences.ini) and send it to redcinex at red? Then you can remove the original
and see if that fixes your issue (RCX will generate a new file). I'm wondering if you had some sort of preferences conflict.

    Thanks,
    David

Any idea why resolve acts badly occationally with RMDs? (Know you're not BMD...)
