    I've used the Manfroto 561BHDV-1 for 6 weeks in Mexico without any hitches. My camera setup.

    I switched over to the 685B because of the single handed operation, which is way too useful. Plus it has a 17 pound load capacity.

    Oh, and I would buy one of these for the 685B - foot protector. I would occasionally step on the feet of the 561BHDV and pull of the rubber feet. This 685B has the same issue. With the foot projector you completely eliminate that problem.

    It is more realistically 18.81 lbs. That spec put me off at first, but the Manfroto 561BHDV-1 can handle much more weight with impunity.
