    Cool shoot & edit!

I'm Super Interested in knowing more about your setup. I have an XR-4000 and should receive my new RED next week.

How many top weight plates did you put on the bottom?

Also, by top weight plates, are you referring to the squarish cheese like plates linked below?

Also, how did you attach the plates? (a pic of the bottom end of your XR-4000 set-up would be awesome!)

    Thanks!

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the compliments!

hehe ok ... Youll have to excuse the dust on all of my gear , I use it outside a lot and never get a chance to clean it haha

    To Answer your questions:

YES, I am using the cheese plates that come with the glidecam-XR 4000 meant for the TOP of the sled. I meant to get another source of weights when Tom from Glidecam sent me the package , but the plates were so convenient at the time , plus I like having a slightly wider base , that I decided to keep them. I attatch them just as I do the other weights , then any additional weights I need ( the actual weights) on the top by threading the screw though and tightening. Since the plates were not meant to be used on the bottom, I went ahead and taped it down because they slide around.

    Here is my configuration :

Youll see that I have one facing straight on and one facing side to side. The one that is side to side is for the BACK, so it doesnt stick out too much like the one in the fornt and hit my leg.

On the BACK, I used 2 CHEESE PLATES and 4 LARGE Original Weights.

On the FRONT, I use 3 CHEESE PLATES and 2 LARGE Original Weights.

My Scarlet configuration is just as you see in the maing picture. SX , Side Handle, LCD mount to top , RedVolt , Canon Lens.

    Hope this helps!

    Awesome and well done!
Thank you for the in depth write-up. I'm definitely gonna have to run out and get some more cheese plates soon!
