    Hi

So I guess this is an open question to Brooke and everyone at Viewfactor.

Are there plans in the works to figure out a way to adapt your (excellent) v-mount battery plate to work on the rear end of the Pro I/O? Since word is they're slowly starting to trickle out, it would be good to know if this is feasible.

The problem is obviously the lack of the 4 mounting screws holes that are on the back of the Epic. Its like you'd need an inversed version of Red's module adaptor. . . with their locking mechanism on the front end, and a reproduction of the Epic back on the other. . .

Once these come out I think they're going to be pretty essential to most users - and a way to continue using 3rd party battery plates like Viewfactor's would be essential.

    thanks!

My personal view is that it's time to mount the brick somewhere else (top rails, back rails, side etc etc)... as the stress/weight ratio will start to increase as the body expands in size with the addition of the pro I/O.

Ah ha! Perfecto. Make that module adaptor the handy little +1 adapter and we're good to go!
Thanks Nate! Where did you find this?

    cheers

    Hi Caden

With the Pro I/O module nearing release (the first DMSC module that most people will actually use) a solution is needed for the people who bought the Viewfactor battery plate. Currently it mounts to screws that can be afixed to the back of the camera. These screws cannot currently be attached to the back of the pro i/o (or any other) module. Hence, that little spacer plate in the render above.
