    Hi All,

    Just sharing some work...
And to say that I shot 50% of this on CANON glass... The rest with PL ZIESS & Argenuex.

I was experimenting to see if shooting a huge EPIC job with Canon glass would benefit me or hinder me.

    Report card:
Using Canon lenses in a hand held configuration speed up the day, you could shoot so much more per day.. and the AF snapped quickly to sharps and you knew they were pin sharp.
No dark corners due to better coverage on the 5k sensor, compared to PL glass...
Manual focusing on Canon glass is complete SHIT!
Optically very good and mixed with ARRI, ZIESS glass flawlessly.

I still Prefer PL glass of Canon Glass... But good to know that Canon glass can save the day and can be mixed with any super expensive PL lens in the grading suite.

    Enjoy... :)

That's what I'm talking about! I never thought I'd consider using AF on a Red Camera, but you probably said the same thing :) We all saw your tests about sharpness and the AF feature on Epic, but seeing work like this is what really sells the idea of Canon glass. I'm gonna get a Canon mount now and see exactly what I've been missing out on. Thanks for sharing and beautiful work.

    Yeah, that's a forklift tattoo. I wasn't always a cinematographer :)

Great stand by kit... I have a epic kit put aside purely fitted out for canon glass only. For personal use mainly, but I take it on most of my jobs now with our PL production kits. I always end up dragging it out for a few shots now. So much easier, smaller, faster...

But my love is still PL. :)

I had a VFX supervisor say to me a couple of weeks ago in not so many words that I did not know how to grade... Shessh....

    Giving him a holiday.
