Definitely what I'm experiencing as well. I'm located in LA and actually took my OLED Bomb into the Red Store to compare it to theirs that they have on display. Same problem as mine (as as yours) - basically feels about 1000K too warm and about a stop brighter than the 5" LCD. I chatted a bit with the guys there and they agreed that the image definitely varied from the 5" LCD to the OLED Bombs and they felt that it will probably have to be something that gets fixed in a build upgrade.

Its a real shame though; when the camera first boots up that color chip chart that flashes looks breathtaking! And then actual the image really fails to impress but I think that the potential does exist. I hate saying this but the viewfinder on the Alexa (while not being perfect) definitely still destroys the OLED Bomb.

I imagine that this will become a much hotter topic of debate once RED releases the additional EVF/LCD module and everyone goes back to using viewfinders.

Whats interesting is when I'm outside in bright light and I switch to what the RAW mode is seeing, it looks perfect.

My OLED EVF is very warm and I would estimate a 2000K warming on my screen. I have adjusted the brightness with the new build and I have found this to be effective. Not sure what I can do about the overly warm image without affecting all the monitors?

shot with the alexa today and really have to agree on this, the alexa EVF is really nice, huge image, nice eyepiece (fits your face better than the round one from red), tack sharp and really bright...

    Mark,
This being an old thread, I was wondering if this is a known issue with the OLED. I'm on my second one, Red replaced the first one, but this is exactly the same. Did anything ever come from your conversation with Graeme regarding this fix being incorporated in future builds?

As long as I rely on the exposure tools, I'm not to concerned about the slight warm tone. But I do wish there was better control over the image.

Right your are on the exposure tools....however, why can't we look at an accurate frame with good contrast to see the small nuances of the picture?

I agree that I want that EVF to be awesome. I like it better than the LCD one. I guess it also depends on how you are using it. I primarily use it shoulder mounted or when I'm outside in the sun. All other times I have the LCD touchscreen and a broadcast monitor. Im pretty sure the control we want will get there.

Is it time to start looking for a third party solution, I can't keep working with this EVF much longer. It's so counter intuitive to anything I've worked with in my years of shooting.

Does the Oled bomb evf also shows the "squiggly lines when panning" ?
    thanks.

the OLED is way sharper, blacks are great, but the color is way to warm on my Scarlet 3.0.6 right now...
