Hi, I need my little film (3 min) quicktime converted to WMV version 8.
It must be version 8. I have already tried with version 9 and that did not work for my client.

I have tried, with Squeeze & Episode with no luck, its like no OSX app are supporting that version 8 any longer..

Anybody out there that can help me?

    Thanks

    Ulrik

TMPGEnc VideoMasteringWorks 5 from Pegasys Inc. Here

It does provide (among a ton of other output codecs) WMV 7, WMV 8, WMV 9 and WMV 9 Advanced Profile

For me this it THE Encoder for years now and encodes to about everything you can think of. At least on Windows.
It may look a little cheesy but it's an encoding workhorse.
They have a trial version that runs free for 15 days or so.

    Have fun

Try Microsoft Expressions Encoder. I have used it before successfully. You can also check out this tutorial, just ignore the part about FCP.

    Good Luck!
