    Hi,

I`ve been learning the timecode dual system auto match feature in RCX-P. I recorded my RED footage at 23.98 and my audio on Sound Devices 702T at 48.000 hz with a 23.98 timebase. After running automatch, in the control section of the audio tab, it shows 48khz as the frequency, but it shows 48.048 as the TC frequency.

Do I need to override this to get both "frequency" and "TC frequency" to 48.000hz? Or is RCX compensating correctly already due to the footage being shot at 23.98, and I should leave it alone? I would be rendering the synced clips to ProRes with 48hz/24 bit audio attached for a Final Cut 7 project.

I`m a bit confused as to what adjustments RCX is making.

    Thanks

    Hi Alex,

That is correct, RCX is already detecting the audio timecode frequency for you. You should be fine to leave as is.

    Cheers,
    David

Alright. Is awesome how RCX handles the correct setting by itself, less hassle for making accurately synced dailies.

    Thanks, David
