When I try to run ImporterREDServer.exe I get the error message: ...dvacore.dll is missing from your computer.... It looks like I have over a dozen copies of dvacore.dll scattered among the various Adobe folders on my system drive including the Premiere folder. Is the program looking for a particular version in a particular folder? Or am I going about this all wrong; should I just drop ImporterRED.prm into the Premiere plug-ins folder?

    Thanks,
    Curtis

You shouldn't be running ImporterRedServer.exe. Find the one installed in CS6, back it up and put this one in its place. Same thing with ImporterRED.prm. Hearing that the instructions for CS6 are not working so go get the install instructions for the 5.5 plugin and follow those.

    Cheers

Not only that but the importer for 5.5 has a different set of these 2 files, "ImporterRED.bundle" and "ImporterREDServer.app" for each app; PPRO, AE and AME but the importer for CS6 only has one set of these 2 files.

So if you're using the installation instructions for CS5.5, in which application folder do you put these 2 files?

It looks like the CS5.5 files are a lot newer than the previous ones. Possibly they have been updated also?

In CS6 it is the same bits for all the apps (yeah!) except for windows prelude which is 32 bits. You put the bits into AE/PPro/Encore/AME etc but you can use the same ones just make copies.

    Cheers
