I've been looking to various audio setups lately and it would be awesome if red could give us 2 more channels with the pro I/O, by using the 2 analog, 2 aes inputs and 2 mini jack inputs at the same time.

we have the connections with the pro i/o , I think , it must be possible to include a 6 ch audio version with new firmware if they want to??

    what do you think?

I've just seen , there's even a 2xaes cable. So I'm dreaming of having 8 seperate audio channels in the future. anyone else supporting this request??????? comon please... can see a lot of situations , where I could use all eight then.,
especially for music. Just giving us much more options in the final mixdown, without always having to bring external recorders.

Sorry, but that's not a supportable hardware configuration.

EPIC and Scarlet can record up to 4 channels of 24-bit 48Khz uncompressed audio.

Any more channels than that and you need use an external audio recorder.
