  1. #1 Custom DIT station
This is an all in one solution directed towards managing red mx and epic data on set. The system has two built in 3.5" sata hot swappable drive bays for fast transfer and a secondary backup. Additional backups can be introduced through the input output panel which supports 2 sata, 2 firewire 800 and 2 usb 3.0 connections. The design is very mobile and only requires a single power connection to support the entire syste m. The internal hardware consists of a solid state drive solution for the operating system and software, with a secondary backup in case the primary internal drive becomes corrupt. The processing hardware within the system is packed with the most up to date designs, and furthermore can be updated easily as needed to keep up with technology and new solutions for maintaining the most up to date workflows. (Multiple GPUs, Red Rocket, Loads of RAM, Input Output Cards, etc)

In regards to software... the system is licensed with various industry standard applications for accurately confirming data transfer and duplication... as well as creating and/or applying luts for on set colour reference.

This machine is built to handle any job from acquisition through to the entire post workflow!

Any ideas for improvement on the next build would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This looks pretty phenomenal. Is it safe to say this is a PC platform? Would love it in OSX...

As for improvements, what about a Magic Trackpad in place of the mouse?

How much did this build run you? Or rather, how much would it run someone who wanted to buy one from you?

    Well done...

I love it so far. It is a powerful machine that goes anywhere.

Yes it is a PC platform mainly... I currently use Mac Drive to deal with OSX workflows. I have OSX on a secondary SSD currently, and working fine! The only problem is that when deciding to change the hardware configuration, many trouble shooting issues may arise. I would say OSX would be for a more advanced user willing to do some tweaking from time to time.

Trackpad is a great idea, and hopeful for the next build. I have used my iphone as a trackpad through blue tooth before and is currently an option. Glad to hear your input, thanks!

I can not give specifics on the cost of the build at this point as I will first need to do some number crunching. If someone wanted to buy one I would have to provide a number based on their needs. The machine is customizable at this point.

23" Asus. This is about the largest size display that will fit. The profile cannot be thicker than 2.5". There is output for HDMI, and HDSDI on the back for connecting additional displays and/or colour critical displays.

That is bad ass. Mind if I ask what you got in your case, and what it cost?
