Nothing?
I know you're looking for an answer from someone at RED but I'm going to answer any way.
This mount will go anywhere on the cam where you have a 1/4-20 threaded hole.
You position the rail horizontally, vertically, or at any degree in between and then you tighten it down.
You can then mount the SPINNER (or any other product that mounts using the picatinny system) directly to the rail.
...too much RED on the brain.OK - that's what I figured at a basic level...
But it says on RED's website that it replaces the EVF Cradle?
Maybe there's another use to it?

Thanks Joe!

Hi!
Can RED provide a more specific answer? I would appreciate it.
The Spinner Swat Rail Mount seems to have a more specialized use than just bolting it anywhere where you have a 1/4-20 threaded hole.
It has that square protuberance on its back - it seems it fits somewhere specifically.
Especially since - because of that - it is difficult to tighten it on a flat surface.

Take a look at the Spinner.
It's made up of a center pivot assembly with an accessory assembly on each end. On one end is a NATO rail clamp and on the other end is the EVF cradle. They are held in place by a 1/4-20 bolt to the spinner's center pivot assembly. You can see the alignment dots and arrows engraved onto the various assemblies at their intersection. Those dots enable the square protuberance you indicated to fit into a matching female depression.
This piece replaces either end.
It essentially gives you a rotating NATO rail when combined with the Spinner.
Hi Brook,
Great explanation - thanks for taking the time.
I appreciate it.
