    Jim,

I was not convinced about the Facebook ipo. So I did not bought any shares. If you will decide to turn red into a public company I would like to ask you for becoming a member of the friend & family program. Innovation, passion & a full functional business model is still the best combination of long term success. Red meets all of the criteria.

It will never be a public company. And I could not be more happy about that.

Says who? Going public is an excellent way to leverage more cash, and thereby facilitate greater product growth and research/development.

It's also a great way to dilute the vision, and swing the focus to making the shareholders happy rather than the customers...
Can't believe I get paid to do this.
If I don't own it I rent it...

Luckily, Jim's got a decent amount of funding backing RED.

You're right, that's how it works. But a lot of great companies would be nowhere right now (maybe even dead) if it wasn't for shareholder capital. RED has solid financial backing I am sure, but never under estimate the power of more capital. In the end, it's up to Jim to decide if RED ever sells public shares, but how can you assume it will "never be a public company."

This was previously discussed.... I'd find a link if I wasn't busy on set and sort of busy (I use the term "sort of" loosely)

There's only one person who could know this for sure - but he's not talking and and he's been known to change his mind... often. :-)
