Epic-X, Nikon 300 2.8 with doubler, mylar solar filer, Takahashi EM-200 mount. Shot at 3 FPS from near Lassen Volcanic National Park. These are two frames from over two hours of continuous recording. Check out the video at 100x speed here: http://youtu.be/r5h3a1tAKnw

That's what I was looking for... GREAT shots!
Is it me or does Totality seem a little thick this time around? I remember the ring used to be real thin, perhaps due its my thicker glasses :)

The size of the moon varies, this time it must have been a little farther from us. I need to look into that. Thank you for your compliments. I am on the road the next couple of days, but plan to get the full video posted soon. It is pretty cool watching the sun get gobbled up. And it does get cooler when the moon gets between us and the solar furnace...

    Finally posted video here: http://youtu.be/r5h3a1tAKnw
All post and grading done in Nuke-X. Original is 5K. This is a compressed Quicktime HD file dumped to Youtube, which does not do it justice...
