Hello,

I recently build myself a Hackintosh machine and I would like to know if any people on this board that have one as well also noticed that many applications are behaving differently with regard to colorsync/display profiles.

For instance, I also have an iMac. In my understanding on that machine some applications like Avid Media Composer, Davinci Resolve all bypass the color profile that you set in OSX for your monitor. It now seems like with a Hackintosh this ain't the case as I can clearly see differences when choosing different color profiles and looking at the video images in these apps.

Also, there a setting in Avid's full screen playback setting menu, that says "adjust luminance for computer display" When I tick this on my iMac the video is displayed with 'legal' levels (16-234). But on the HAckintosh this doesn't even seem to do anything.

Has anyone noticed this before? And is anyone adjusting his workflow to this issue?

Thanks!

ps. I posted it in the Davinci thread cause this is where the most HAckintosh users are dwelling...
