Is ther a way to make a cut in a grading layer. As an example. If you applied a grading layer over the whole time line but had one shot that did not need that grade applied?

    Hi evrybody,

I'm thinking of putting together a new PC for editing and I can not decide which graphics card to buy to get all the juice of CS6. I'm thinking to buy a Quadro 4000 or a gtx 680. My question is: can you see the scops (vectorscope, histogram ang waveforms) updated in real time with one of these cards?
Actualy speedgrade cant do it when i'm working with HD in my old 9800 GT.

    Sorry my bad english!

Been playing a little with Speedgrade, moderately impressed. One question for any gurus who know:

I've heard that Speedgrade has a handy feature: if you shoot a Macbeth color chart in scene, you can tell Speedgrade to 'auto grade' the shot to neutral balance from the chart.

How in hell do you actually DO that? I've poked around and asked around, haven't been able to find it. I even asked Jeff Greenberg at an Adobe roadshow, he didn't know either though he had heard it worked...

    Thanks

I think this is what you are talking about:

The Clip tab allows you to set several parameters for mirror and aspect ratio, but what’s truly magical is the Color Space tab and its ability to recognize a MacBeth chart and apply cubical auto-correction to neutralize any casts which is perfect for calibrating the input from more than one camera.

  7. #97 'Load from Desktop'
I've just recently moved over to using adobe and trying out Speedgrade but I'm hitting a major road block.

Not trying to hijack the post but I've been wrestling with this issue for the past couple of days and I'm really hoping one of you might be able to help me.

I'm exporting an EDL out of Premiere but the file name reference seems to be incorrect ( 'A029C023' when it should be 'A029_C023_04203V_001'). This means the option 'Load from Desktop' doesnt work. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have another post here outlining the issue in details:

Any help would be much appreciated,

    Cheers,

So I have been running into a couple issues with speed grade. One I can pull a skin tone mask and desaturate etc..., but when I go to blur... to do skin enhancements. The blur appears to do nothing. As well as the day to night filter doesnt seem to effect the image either.... have any of you all run into these issues? Work arounds? Thanks in advance.
