I have had another shoot where I was getting corrupt frames. After getting another Epic in with new media I was able to confirm where the issue was coming from. After doing lots of tests of different combinations of my gear and the new camera I worked out that the corrupt frames were being corrupted during the transfer process from my Macbook pro.
After changing to an iMac and re-transferring the footage there were no corrupt frames. I have no idea what part in my transfer setup was faulty but with the new computer all was fine.
All my corrupted frame issues were visible straight after the shot on the LCD, in camera. Im my case they had nothing to do with the transfer from card to Mac, but maybe with the transfer from camera to SSD. I sent my Scarlet to Red tech support to evaluate this problem. Still waiting for a official statement from Red about this issues, but I think this will be difficult for the Red techs too, because it looks like they are a lot of different scenarios to get this corrupted frames.
I was having the same problem. I would transfer the data from the cards and then process the footage through REDCINE. I would get drops on several files randomly. So I did a test and processed the footage directly from the card and did not have any issue.
Now I need to figure out what is going on with the transfer.
