Anyone have the Presets for the things like toggling through Focus/Edge/Off and Exposure/Video/Off that they can post? I'm finding it difficult to set them up, and I figure a ton of you already have them made . . .

Been waiting / asking for that feature for a VERY long time and RED now allows us to add it ourself :-)
Purpose : Create a sound check button (turn fan into silent mode without actually recording a false take or shutting down the camera !)
- In Settings / Setup / System, set FAN Mode to MANUAL and set PREVIEW FAN SPEED to 25
- Go to Presets, Create new preset, name it 'FAN_Silent'. In the system tab, add fan mode + fan preview speed and create the preset
- Go back to Settings / Setup / System and set your FAN back to your preferred mode / speed (like auto / 40 / 75)
- Go to Presets, Create a new preset, name it 'FAN_Normal', In the system tab add fan mode + fan preview speed and create the preset.
Now Go to Settings / Setups / Keys and assign 'Preset : FAN_Silent' to a key's press action and 'Preset : Fan_Normal' to key release.
Now press your button and you get instant silent EPIC / Scarlet while you press the button. If you need to do longer silent rehearsals you can also assign 'FAN_silent' to one button's press and 'FAN_normal' to another button press or create a toggle with Trent's method described earlier on... just don't forget to let you camera breath at the end of the rehearsal...
This is a much welcome option for fiction work in small spaces where we had to roll the camera just to make sure the room was silent before recording a real take.
The only improvement I can think of for the future is a delayed action option : Button X activates 'FAN_Silent' preset and a 'delayed action' check box with selectable 10s/30s/1min/2min/5min delay will automatically apply 'FAN_normal' preset without any user action so you never forget to let the camera cool down....
Am trying to figure out how to toggle between display modes:
1 clean = no menu, just frame guides
2 normal display = with menu
I had it set in earlier build but haven't found a solution on 3.2.19 yet...
Thanks a lot for helping me out!!
Trying to do the same... there's an earlier post in this thread where Trent specifies that you need a SDI monitor in order to achieve this... since there's no way to save the CLEAN preset when your LCD is in clean mode. Hopefully in another build (or the release build) there will be a toggle function just between CLEAN and MENUS since most people are interested in just those two modes.
On another note, in case someone is interested, you can have multiple buttons cycle through the same set of presets.
Just follow Trent's suggestion BUT make sure to add - when saving the presets - all the buttons you want. Same when assigning functions to the keys - assign the presets to ALL the buttons you are interested in.
This way, I can cycle through EXPOSURE CHECK ON, VIDEO CHECK ON and EXPOSURE ASSIST OFF on 3 (three) buttons on my EPIC - one of the Side SSD buttons, one of my Side Handle buttons and one of my REDMOTE buttons.
You do need to assign those additional buttons at the time of creating and assigning the presets as per Trent's instructions... it doesn't work if you try to do it later...
Hope this helps somebody!
George
Trent, I'm really very sorry that I didn't get back to you earlier, especially since you offered me an edited version so fast.
Sad to report though, that the focus mode still stays on whatever Mode was selected manually, and doesn't change to the preset when switching.
(It is supposed to switch to single for stills and confirm for movie.)
Thanks again!
Holycowohmygod...this preset thing is intense. And specific in an amazing way. Thank you so SO much Red!
My only wishlist item (outside of a computer interface for presets) would be a way to edit presets once they are made. A few times I wanted to check what keys I had assigned to which preset and just have to delete and re-make it if something isn't working (like mapping S-SSD User Key 1 instead of SH User Key 1)

Map a Soft Key to Toggle Look Around on and off
Solution Step-by-Step Instructions
- Create a DUMMY camera preset named "Look Around Off"
- Open the PRESETS Dialog
- Open the CREATE PRESET Dialog by hitting the CREATE... button
- Name the preset "Look Around Off"
- Add any parameter to the preset (remember this is a dummy preset)
- Create the preset by hitting the CREATE button
- Create the "Look Around On" preset
- Map the Soft Key 1 to apply the "Look Around Off" preset
- Open the KEYS Dialog: SETTINGS->SETUP->KEYS->SOFT KEYS
- Pull-down the ":1" menu and select "Look Around Off"
- Press OK
- Exit the KEYS Dialog
- Select SETTING->SYSTEM->RECORDING-> check ENABLE LOOK AROUND
- Open the PRESETS Dialog
- Open the CREATE PRESET Dialog by hitting the CREATE button
- Name the preset "Look Around On"
- Select the following parameters and add them to the preset by hitting the --> button
- System: Look Around Enabled
- Key: UI Softkey 1 Press
- Create the preset by hitting the CREATE button
- Create the REAL "Look Around Off" preset
- Map the Soft Key 1 to apply the "Look Around On" preset
- Open the KEYS Dialog: SETTINGS->SETUP->KEYS->SOFT KEYS
- Pull-down the ":1" menu and select "Look Around On"
- Press OK
- Exit the KEYS Dialog
- Select SETTING->SYSTEM->RECORDING-> un-check ENABLE LOOK AROUND
- Open the PRESETS Dialog
- Open the CREATE PRESET Dialog by hitting the CREATE... button
- Name the preset "Look Around Off"
- Select the following parameters and add them to the preset by hitting the --> button
- System: Look Around Enabled
- KEY: UI Softkey 1 Press
- Create the preset by hitting the CREATE button
- Done: Press the Soft Key 1 to cycle between Look Around on and off
The same technique can be used to toggle the fan on and off (to check sound) by changing the following:
"Fan On" preset:
SETTINGS->SETUP->SYSTEM->FAN CONTROL(MANUAL) + STANDBY FAN SPEED(25%)
Preset Parameters
- System: Fan Control Mode
- System: Fan Speed: Preview
