hmm, seems like it's not as easy as I thought on our EPIC (been updating from 3.0.0)... 3.0.7 works fine - but with 3.2.8 first I was getting the same color pattern as Mr. Ross... now after a few other attempts I'm getting a white screen when booting -> when I unplug and replug the LCD cable (5.6 touch) everything is fine... it's just a white screen when I'm booting until I unplug and replug the screen (if I do so the correct picture comes up and everything works as it should with proper version reported and so on - recording is fine and works). My first idea was a "bad" cable - but I tried differnt cables which are working (on our RED One) and the problem remains the same - white screen when booting up... Tried camera restore/factory defaults, stepping from 3.0.7 to 3.2.8 - from 3.0.0 to 3.2.8 and various other things - not a direct problem since rolling back to 3.0.0 is working just fine... Maybe I'll try later on without a lens attached (Nikon Pro-Lock, so non-electric).

but if anyone is experiencing similar problems -> don't freak out; force_update back to 3.0.0 is working fine :)

For anyone who experiences the same problem I had I've found a workaround. I only have the side handle and when I updated, my up and down buttons became zebras and I couldn't get into setting to reconfigure. The workaround I found is:

    1. Go into presets
    2. Delete the top preset for Red settings which should then make 'Default Key Mappings (Red) at the top of the list.
    3. Now select apply and the up and down work again.

    Phew!

I noticed that you have to power up the camera BEFORE you insert the SSD to make it work. For release FW itīs the other way around, you insert the SSD and then power up.
I got the weird colorbar screen the first time around, but 2nd time I re-read the instructions and saw that you have to power up, then insert the SSD

Curious about this one as I reported a ticket in march with an issue where short cutting the /i contacts on PL mount would corrupt the R3Ds until next reboot
(it happened once while installing a lens on a shoot and I was able to reproduce it afterwards while exchanging emails with the support team...).

Is it related / reproduced / detected on your side ? Would be great as altho it never happened again I kept checking (the problem was visible with a 1:1 zoom) after changing lenses on my EPIC...

  7. #147 Scarlet Stats Please...
I imagine that 24p at 5k on Scarlet was not an added feature. I am sure the reduser would be blowing up about that. Can someone please post the Scarlets new stats. Also...Jarrad... can you give us any estimated time for the release build? Thanks.

Really happy to see a 720p Slo-mo option at 89 fps on the Scarlet!

Jarred, any estimates on when all these features will make it into release build?

I'm dying for 120fps and other stuff, but my camera is working on other people's projects more often than on my own and I can't jeopardize those productions with beta.
    "Production value!" Đ
