Help. Can't make multiple subclip

I need to make multiple subclips from single long master clips. Select original clip in browser, add in and out and put that into project. Then I select the original clip again in the browser to give different in and out BUT the "mother" clip in browser appears now short as per in and out added.
I remember I could do this easily a couple of week ago, don't remember if I was using different Redcine build.
Macbook 8.3 with Lion and Redcine 13.
Any suggestion?

There's a subtlety here -- you'll need to change directories in the browser before selecting the original clip again.
Otherwise the same clip you just cut is opened again.
