I can't see the link on my iPad.
Some amazing stuff in there Nathaniel, loving your soft light set ups!
Awesome work!
Nice Nate, reel is looking better and better each time. Keep up the good work.
P.S. How you liking that Epic?
thanks Will.. Next week i will have yet another! My recent jobs have allowed me to get some really great stuff. As for the Epic- if you had asked me a year ago if i would be interested in a RED, I would have said no way - too much hassle, over heating, DIT problems etcetc, and I would have been happy to keep shooting on my F3 and AF100. And then Epic arrived. My AC begged me to check out the Epic, but I refused, until one day his friend came into the office with his M and some superspeeds... I played with it.. I then for a month debated it.. The investment in the Epic, and now i needed better head and sticks, oh and i need a red rocket, and I need all these things from x and innocinema, and a new matte box, and new custom cut pelicans, and oh yeah, a set of nice fast primes..I have lots of canon glass, noting slower than 1.4 and lots of nikon glass, also super fast ( all from the early 90's and my fashion fotog days) but a sixty thousand dollar camera deserves cineprimes, and I looked at CP2's - too slow, and ZEiss Superspeeds MKI - no way , the triangul bokeh is hideous, and the used MK II were too much $ so Fred at FJS found me a used 5 lens a set of Illumina t1.3 super speeds ( and i love them!) ,
My epic arrive Dec 23... Since January I have worked every week and I have to admit, the epic has been a large part of my success. Having the epic definitely gets me across the finish line when a client is debating DP's.. In NYC, everyone wants to shoot on an epic.. So not only has the rate my agent gets for me gone up, the job quality as well has gone up, and its great to make meaningful extra $ because i can charge the client a rental rate as well, and if they dont have budget for that, i can then use the epic as a huge value ad to the project, which creates good will. Would I prefer to make an 1500 to 2500 being able to charge a camera fee? yes, but I also prefer not to lose a job because they cant afford the epic..All in all, besides the amazing quality, the flexibility in image control, tthe endless hours on red user, the constant debates between my team about 320 vs 800 ( 320 is my mantra), the Epic has been the best career investment I have ever made... and im now considering buying a second brain
Best career investment you ever made was believing in yourself. I've seen your work progress. I am about a step behind you in the gear aquisition stage, just need a RR and CS6 and I'll be flying. The wait is over, I like this part of the journey. Keep up the good work.
progress
really nice!
