So, Yesterday I encountered something really strange with my EpicX.
I was shooting with IDX V mount plate, Red bricks and sidehandle attached.
I was capturing Scratch audio with 1. Shotgun mic 2. With an Olympus button mic.
If I booted up the Camera with all the above attached, the camera would never recognize the audio and levels would never show up. I tried plugging in the xlr, unplugging, rebooting etc , and nothing worked.
Then I booted up the camera ONLY with Sidehandle attached and then the Epic would recognize audio signals and I would see levels.
Eventually I figured out I didn't only have to take the V Mount Brick off, I had to literally UNPLUG my VMount and boot up the camera only with sidehandle to see audio levels.
Once the camera was up and running, then I plugged in the Vmount power source and everything was good again.
Anybody else had this problem? Seems kind of strange to me and wonder what's the reason for this?
