Just purchased a EasyRig Cinema 3 400N system which is for 17-22lbs cameras. I want to change it out to a 700N shock absorber which handles 35-44lbs.

I looked on EasyRig's website about how to change it, they have a manual but it's not clear to me if I need to purchase a new support arm (http://www.easyrig.com/spareparts/su...r%20700_35.htm) or if simply the shock absorber complete is sufficient (http://www.easyrig.com/spareparts/sh...r_complete.htm) ??

Also what is the price for the change, I dont see any prices on their site...

    Thanks

The complete shock absorber should be sufficient. The only reason to get a different arm is if you need something with a longer extension. The one note is that switching over the shock absorber isn't a quick changeover...takes a good 20-45 minutes depending on how many times you've done it. If it's something you're only changing once in a blue moon, it's no big deal...just not an on-set, between takes type of thing.

Call 16x9 about pricing, though if I recall correctly, the cost of a 400N complete shock absorber was ballpark $150, and I would assume the heavier weight options would be similar in cost.

Thanks Clint. Called 16x9 and they confirmed, all I need is the shock absorber which they sell for $250.

    BOUGHT THE SHOCK ABSORBER, THANKS.
