CS 6: I get FANTASTIC playback with NO stuttering....However there are no longer any options when setting up a sequence to choose Matrox MXO2 settings....so, i've tried a generic 1080p and RED sequence all at 1080p....and get NO external monitoring to my Matrox or through my Matrox to my "other" monitors.... I believe another user said --teh OP that is...that he is getting playback on his BM card...HOW IS THAT? anyone got a clue or a way to get MATROX playback?
CS6 has done away with all of those presets... you just choose any preset now. You must set up which card/hardware in preferences now, that's it! In a few weeks Matrox will have new Utilities that will work perfectly. In the meantime, I'm using my CS5.5 utilities with no problems, although the boys at Matrox do advise against that!

You don't need to open it. Just run the .exe file and it will decompress the z7 file for you.

    Hey guys,

Please remember you are early so not all the information is out there. In CS6 we got rid of the need for hardware players (i.e. presets). They will all use the mercury playback engine. HOWEVER, you will need drivers from our 3rd parties. So hold tight just a bit longer. Glad you guys are enjoying it, however ;)

    Cheers

This certainly renders in sharp relief, the deficiencies both in development and marketing over at Apple. They best get their asses moving not just to stay afloat, but to even keep their boat in the race.

Way to push it Adobe. Your performance trumps their interface and the functionality of the suite is immense. Your interface improvements are nice and apparently the overall experience across the suite is likewise improved. Keep at it.

Can we hope for app consolidation in the near future?

playback is rather stunning....however, i'm also running RR card and Quadra 4000....but with this build i'm getting such good playback with multiple layers & effects....much better than 5.5 was giving me.
