    I want to take my heavy V-Mount battery, mounted with the Switronix plate and included short Lemo pigtail, off the camera, off the head of my jib, and move it to the center, the fulcrum, to reduce weight on the head (and resulting counterweight at the rear). Has anyone remotely cabled the Switronix plate to an extension cable? I figure I probably need 10 to 15 feet, and I am unsure what type of cable to get. I could adapt to XLR 4-pin, easily available in may long sizes, but then I would have to adapt back to Lemo at the camera. Thoughts?

    Not worth it. Use revolt instead.
    I want to have my scarlet, and eat it, too.

    Thought about that, but having to likely remove the camera to get access every 20 or 30 minutes doesn't seem like a good choice for me.

    I have a shorter jib, only 8ft reach, so this plate and 10' XLR cable work fine, but for the longer reach it can be easily extended;
