    What specific snacks..?

...not as important as having all the 3 major food groups covered:

    SALTY.........keeps the blood pressure up
SUGARY......to ensure blood sugar is sky high
    CAFFEINE....no sleeping on the set

Dried fruit and nuts. But separate, not in the same bag.

Dried fruit. Snack bars that aren't junk, actually healthy ones. Carbonated unsweetened but flavored water. Chocolate covered coffee beans. And jerky. Lots of jerky. And gum.

I'm surprised by all the jerky plugs! I dig that stuff too, we'll make sure to stock plenty. Growing up, I had a friend who's grandma made jerky. That stuff was awesome!

Healthy food, like most have already mentioned.

You can make due with empty calories first thing in the morning, or on a 2-day shoot. But as the long shooting days drag on, you need to fuel your body with something more significant. And if you're in hot, humid weather -- drinks with electrolytes.

M&Ms are on the peanut allergy list too as all M&M pieces are made on the same lines at any given time so you can't discount being exposed to peanut allergens even though you have a bag of regular M&Ms.

I honestly try to pack my own food. Green smoothies and trail mix will fuel me all day.

Peantbutter pretzels. I think I can live off of those. Salty and protein. I've literally survived on Peantbutter Cliff Bars for more than 3 days too. Although I don't recommend that. ;)

Go as healthy as possible. Costco is a good place to shop for craft type food. I always make sure I have bottle water.
