Not sure if it had been discussed before - is there a way of using the VF with other cameras/equipment?

Just got my EVF back from upgrade (took 2 months!). Looks 100 times better than the old one. Finally I can pack my LCD back in my bag. I hate shooting with monitors, I can't understand how people can frame anyting at all when looking at monitors. When I put my eye to that viewfinder, it feels like looking into a dark cinema. Gets me in the mood for shooting!
