A-mount system is approved by RED on DSMC and REDone. You don't have to worry about the warranty.
They are made of stainless steel, because it is more solid, and can be manufactured more accurately. And it is heavier and the prime cost is higher.

I can understand the appeal of finding a PL mounting system for less than half the price of the Ti PL mount by RED, especially due to the limited means a lot of us have; however, for someone who is unsure about the commitment to such a system, is it necessarily worth the risk? After browsing AllStar's mounting system -again- it does seem appealing, but is $1,150 keeping one from just obtaining the elite product, instead? I, like so many others, have been in awe of what RED has done with their products, that I find the discrepancy in funds well worth the peace of mind... And maybe it isn't necessarily a risk, but whose word am I to bet on? How about the people who actually produced the cameras that we all love so much.
How bad can the third party aluminium mounts be if Red are supplying them for Canon. ??
Depending on what PL lens you are putting on your camera, you can run into serious issues that you will not notice until you might be far into your post.
The weight difference between a canon say 70-200 and 24-290 Angenieux is kinda like say a typical SUV vs a Towing big RIG.
I understand your demand is too low to invest the 2K i get that and thats cool just keep in mind you put enough weight un supported properly and you will Stretch your AL mount.
All the best of luck
Luis
Hi,
Our system is approved by RED that mean it won`t damage your camera, and our mount is stronger than RED`s Ti mount because it made by stainless steel and is much thick, just the weight is heavy too. And A-mount is an universal system, it doesn`t just live in DSMC camera.
