    Weight wise, what number do I need to pass to need supports on the Nikon AL mount? I wanted to weigh the glass ahead of time to know if rails are needed... and if so for which glass I have...

    I would guess it's probably a bit more sturdy than Nikon's mounts (due to the aluminum construction vs. steel and the positive locking mechanism the Red mount will have), but we'll probably have to wait for the mount to be released before we get detailed specs and an in-depth Q&A on it.

    did the price just go up $100 while I was ordering? Very strange. It was $700, I clicked add to cart, on checkout it went to $800.
