Everyone gets to do whatever they want. But there are some things to consider.

IMHO... a Pro should shoot the best original he/she can afford to shoot. It never hurts.

Shooting RAW is infinitely better than shooting an RGB codec. For a million reasons.

Upgrading a camera is cheaper than buying new cameras... over and over.

Having the ability to use many lens options/brands is better than being stuck with one.

Shooting a small camera is easier than shooting a big one... for a variety of reasons.

Free software and firmware upgrades that add features... is good.

    Over-sampling is better than up-rezzing.

A company that listens seems better than a company that dictates.

Companies that actually deliver the future are better than those that pretend the past "is good enough".

    Pretty easy stuff...

    Dear Mr. Jannard.
    we get you.
That's why I paid as much as the down payment of a house for my Red gear.
and already planning for another one.
thank you for the gift of RED.

I don't get it. Don't you people like spending your money on NEW cameras every 6 months?

what i think is funny, RED is the only company that makes a camera so awesome that every single person that gets one, takes a picture with it like its the first time holding a newborn child. Its that good. I cant wait to hear NAB announcements. Im gonna feel like those old black and white pictures from the 50's of kids sitting next to the radio waiting for their favorite show to come on. Im gonna be sitting on my computer, just waiting to hear the news.

Love everything about it! I'm not even gonna drink Sunday night at the party so I can be first in line Monday morning.
