    Hey all,

Prepping for a shoot where we will be shooting in 5K, 2.4:1 aspect ratio, REDcode 8:1

Just testing a shot in PP5.5.

    Project settings using are 5K 2.4x1 25

Looking to get an export out of PP5.5 in the same 2.4:1 ratio and can't seem to get it. It either puts black bars at the top and bottom or at the sides. Anyone got any settings that would work?

    Thanks in advance.

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Depends on your output resolution of course, but as an example,

    5k @ 2.40 = 5120x2133
    4K @ 2.40 = 4096x1707
    1080p @ 2.40 = 1920x800

Just make sure you select square pixels as the pixel aspect ratio to ensure that it lines up correctly :)

    Hi Brad,

    Thanks for that.

I tested it out on the 1080 @2.40 and the 1920x800 gave me some thin black bars on the left and right. What I did was adjust the height to 810 and it seems to be okay now. Am doing some more testing to see if I can get it any better. Its really weird how the output settings are 1920x800 when you click the Match Sequence Settings, but it produces this little black line - weird.

    Hmm that's odd.

Pixel Aspect ratio is definitely square? And aspect ratio of the whole frame is definitely 2.40 and not 2.35:1?

Any chance you could post a screen shot of your export settings?
