  1. #1 Epic Run and Gun @ 300fps with live gunfire + rain

Here is a teaser I cut of a show I'm working on. The biggest challenge is it's a sports show with bullets traveling 700 fett per sec +. Other then some beauty shots its all live as the competitors are running though competitions shooting live shot gun pistol and rifle. Safety is always number one after that its a challenge to cover the event in a way that shows the competitors skill in a beautiful way.

The Beuty set ups I shot on the
    Lecia duclos primes: ducloslenses.myshopify.com/pages/leica-r-rental
and for the comptition I stuck with the
    Canon 70mm-200mm

Most of the hand held we ran into dropped frames or corrupted clips hopefully a firmware update will help with this.

Some of the hardest set ups where when we wanted camera down range and would have to set camera up in non safe areas and run behind the shooters till the camera position was no longer in front of there sights.

Big props to my 1st AC Marcello and the whole crew for toughing it out in the rain.

    Vincent, great shoots!
I do appreciate your skills taking them since I participated in this type of sport for quite some time.
Very very dangerous to try to catch all these frames you did.

How did you do the clip at 1:05 second?
He pointed the gun straight at your camera, I could see the inside the barrel!
Did you use mirror or you were remote?

    Vincent...

Totally awesome footage...I love the flame blowing out of the shotguns when the empty shell ejects...cool. That FN 5.7 is an amazing pistol to shoot.

    Great work.

Anybody knows what is this gun shown in last 10 seconds of the clip?

Almost no kick back motion, and guy doesn’t look like he is massive one.

Thanks for the coments, didn''t know so many redusers knew about shooting! :)

we had time for 3 set up shots thats the ones in at about 1:00

the firearm at the end if I'm not mistaken was the new Stag Arms version of the AR-15 which I also shot the commercial for:

It's still a figuring out on how we can creatively cover events like these where the top 5 shooters are only off by 3 sec differences, finding the drama of those sec with out retakes is the challenge.

Very cool man. 3 Gun is a lot of fun to do and to film. Looks like you should have had a higher shutter speed for some of the shots. Still it looked very cool.

Great work guys. That shot in the rain at :12 seconds inspired me. 2k 300fps? which lens choice here? Something fast? Did you use only ambient light for the day?

    It's raining tomorrow, here.
