I'm pretty sure that the only difference is that the cine has higher frame rates. If you're not doing super slow mo they are pretty much the same thing. One other option is bying the ce version on the l-758cine on ebay for around 550. It'll have all the functionality of the l-758cine for cinematography, you just can't program it with a flash at least with American batteries. I have one of them saved me like $250 and I don't do photgraphy so it was a great deal.

The guy is selling me the DR for 400 bucks basically brand new. with lots of extras and charts so i kinda want to go with this one for my budget. But if not shooting higher frame rates ( i own a scarlet ) then it should be fine?

Uncanny! I just bought a 758 and am about to have a go at calibrating it to my scarlet!

peter please let me know if that works. Ive heard people in this thread say it works pretty accurately out of the box if you put iso at 320 and have camera set at 800. Let me know though if your calibration works and if it provides and accurate exposure. :)

Patrick how did you use the actual files that REW has to download? I mean, I understood the image files and how they were used manually to calibrate the camera, but how do you use the profile files?
