  1. #1 Epic Music Video for DZ Deathrays
So here it is, finally finished!

Shot on a skeleton crew of myself, 1 camera assistant and 4 talent.

Used two dido's and 1 light panel, other then that torches and FLARES! hahaha

Shot on Epic using a set of super speeds, mostly shot at f1.8

Edit done at alt vfx here in Brisbane and onlined by myself. Wanted to finish with a relatively clean aesthetic so keep the grade pretty similar to what was shot, only needed a bit of colour balance on the flare scenes.

Nice. Did you get a lot of noise in your footage that you had to clean up? Even full open, I'm sure the purple fuzzies were all over your viewfinder. In the final video I can't really notice any obvious noise despite how dark almost every scene was. This is a successful example of shooting with ambient light at dark. Your histogram was most always pushed way left, correct?

Looked like a fun shoot. Some of that was 5k 120fps or 2k 300 fps?

    Thanks Will!

Very little to no noise (super impressed), I exposed at 800 iso and utilised what available light was around and shot smartly with it. I really didn't want to push the iso at all because I wanted clean blacks. No noise reduction was used.

I did a few tests before the shoot which also helped me work out what practical lighting I could use to get a sufficient key from.

There's one shot in there that I bumped up a bit and then I noticed the noise creeping in but was still acceptable :)

I also actually added a fraction of monochromatic grain to give it a ever so slightly grunge feel to it.

Yeah Histogram was well left! Hahaha

Well left and RED bar peeking too? I'm impressed you kept the blacks so clean. Looking forward to some candle/low light tests myself this week.

    Keep up the good work.
