    Seriously? It will cost more than $3000 to repair a damaged solder joint? My broadcast engineers fix damaged solder joints all the time in 5 minutes with a solder gun. It sounds like there's something else going on.

    I don't know if you can fix it like an other GPU But you may want to look into reflow or baking it in an oven check Google. I've used this method to fix an old 8800gts card with bad artifacts but I would air on the side of caution before doing so.

    I have one of our cards that is exhibiting the same symptoms ie kernal panics the system, faulty renders etc. I seriously hate all I've read about the MANY issues with these cards and how RED responds to the large amount of defects. And since they appear to have the same automated response makes it even more concerning that there is a bigger issue that they don't know how to solve or or...well I don't want to suggest the other alternative. I can tell you one thing, I won't be purchasing another card either way.

    I recovered a RED Mag with RedUndead and then formated de MAG in my mac with Mac OS plus with register, and then reformated with epic and it survaived
